Master's notes: Excellent 4K capture of my favorite musical!! Shot over heads, but only obstructs action when people sit on the floor (which only happens a couple times). No footage missed at the start of either act. This is some of my best work, I was having so much fun. Shot in a beautiful mix of wides, mediums, and closeups. Occasional moments of readjustment and shakiness throughout, along with some minor mic issues. Audio fed from external source. TLDR: THAT’S MY SHOW!!

Trading notes: This was the second-to-last performance on Broadway and the last performance open to the public. The energy from the cast and audience is palpable. There are entrance applauses for everyone, as well as for some of the greatest lines in the show, and a standing ovation for Seize the Day before the first act was even over. Definitely a must-see for any fan of the show. Act One has a few issues, but Act Two is much better. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Master's notes: Great 4k capture of this stunning regional production. Starts partway through Carrying the Banner. Has some issues with washout from start of filming until about The World Will Know. Otherwise, really nicely centered video, with some more wides than usual to highlight choreography. Unfortunately some loud chatter from an audience member next to me. This cast is incredible.

Trading notes: Beautiful multicam proshot archive for theatre. Rebroadcast in 2020 during quarantine, introduction and watermark at bottom of screen. Really, a very nice, beautiful video.

Trading notes: Some zoomed out shots due to being a total blindshot. Final note of the show cut off a bit because of house lights coming up. Loud static in audio at first. Head in left corner causes some obstruction. Show starts at ~4 minutes in. First few minutes of the show occasionally have a static noise that briefly muffles the audio.

Includes curtain call, audio is fed from external source. If you listen carefully at the end, you can hear the master, alongside the entire audience, sobbing.

Master's notes: Video properly starts at Time. The person in front of me could not pick a direction to lean their head, and every time they moved it took a few seconds to readjust (most noticeable in ltlo and my days). Sea turtle scene is completely obstructed, as well as any action on the far left side of the stage (“I played piano once”). The end of the show is wideshot and video cuts out before the final note due to a standing ovation. Between the wandering and obstruction this isn’t a video for someone unfamiliar with the show, since a lot of action is missed.

Master's notes: Great capture of this AMAZING show! Shot in a wonderful mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. Head obstruction on the left that blocks out about 1/4 of the stage (mostly the Older couple scenes in act 1), not too much action is missed. Some wandering, shaking, and re-adjusting throughout. A couple of brief dropouts. Some washout on wide shots. External audio patched in from bobbyskazoo. If you hear me sobbing, no you don’t. Overall a great capture.

Trading notes: The filmer just set the camcorder on the armrest and pressed record. no zooms. Quite a bit of head and obstruction from the bag hiding the camera. About half the show is at a serious angle as well. It gets better as it goes. New Dave Malloy musical.

Trading notes: Semi-blind-shot filmed over & between heads. Significant drifting and ceiling views during times when I wasnt checking my screen, and lots of movement from holding the camera too close to my body when I felt too exposed. (Its a small space in the round.) Theres also a ~3 minute dropout starting around 01:17:30 when the camera battery died – secondary audio from the same show is inserted in the gap. Having said all that, you can follow everything that happens in this weird/wonderful show, and certain scenes came out pretty nice in the footage. I included an auto-stabilized version in the folder, which might help a little bit with dizziness if youre sensitive to that, but I dont claim that to be a real fix.
